Mothers' Day Gift Ideas Under $100

Monday, 7 May 2018

Mothers' Day is coming up fast on Sunday and you are not alone if you are just now planning how to spoil your Mum! Here are all of my suggestions for gifts to give every type of mum and all for under $100.

For the beauty-orientated mum

Le Labo Hand Pomade | $36 | A luxurious hand cream that will make her feel on top of the world whenever she pulls it out. It's a vegan formulation with shea butter and sweet almond oil to both soften and nourish. Available from Mecca Cosmetica and Mecca Trove or online here.

Zoeva Offline Brush Set | $72 | Upgrade your mum's brush collection with four adaptable synthetic brushes in a limited edition mint colour with a matching makeup bag. Available from Sephora Australia or online here.

Skincare tools | Whether it's a konjac sponge for light exfoliation, a jade roller for lymphatic drainage, or a gua sha stone for anti-aging and exfoliation, skincare tools are a luxurious addition to anyone's skincare routine.

For the busy mum

BKR Glass Water Bottle | $55 | A fancy upgrade for the humble water bottle that she can take anywhere. Coming in two sizes and heaps of colours, it's customisable to your mum's personal style. Available from Mecca Cosmetica and online here.

Diptyque Baies Candle | $45 | Something to spice up her everyday atmosphere! This is a much loved scent from Diptyque that can transform a room and change your mood. Available from Mecca Cosmetica or online here.

Bastide Bath Salts | $55 | Give your mum and excuse to slow down, relax, and pamper herself. Especially as the weather cools, a bath is a beautiful way to relax and soak in some peace. Available at Mecca Cosmetica or online here.

Kora Organics by Miranda Kerr Aromatherapy Oil | $60 | We all know a busy lifestyle can also come with a lot of stress. Allow your mum to take some time to herself and indulge in a bit of aromatherapy with the Kora Organics range. Available at Sephora Australia or online here.

For the foodie mum

T2 Starry Nights Glass Teapot | $60 | Every tea drinker deserves an upgrade in their teapot every once in a while. Why not treat mum to a fancy new pot to show off at afternoon tea? Available at T2 and online here.

Country Road Lume Jug | $39.95 | Maybe this is just my mom's collection of pouring jugs influencing my list but how nice would it be to pour homemade lemonade or iced tea out of this jug during the summer months? Available at David Jones, Country Road, and online here.

Cristina Re Vintage Cake Knife and Server | $34.95 each | Let's add another level of celebration and ceremony to the cake cutting and serving routine with these beautiful utensils. This gift would be even better with a homemade cake! Available at David Jones and online here and here.

For the mum who has everything

Book a nail appointment or massage | Every mum needs a moment to relax so book her a nail or massage appointment and maybe join her for some quality time, as well!

Captain Cruises High Tea on Sydney Harbour | $65 pp | A beautiful way to spoil your mum with high tea on a cruise around Sydney Harbour. High tea includes sweet and savoury selections and a glass of sparkling wine for something really special. Bookings available online here.

Vivid Sydney Harbour Cruise | from $69 pp | A 90 minute cruise around Sydney Harbour during the Vivid light festival is a special experience few people have tried. Included in the ticket are drinks and a buffet cocktail dinner. Bookings available online here.

And, lastly, my favourite type of gift to give, the self-compiled hamper! Get a basket or a box and fill it with things you think your mum would love and use. You could go for a theme like a selection of picnic nibbles or supplies for a movie night. If your mum's gearing up for a new project, get her a collection of motivational stationary or simple pamper products like sheet masks and nail polish. This is the kind of present you can inject your personality into as well as your mum's and it looks fun and thoughtful whatever you choose to include.

Do any of these gift ideas inspire you? Can you think of another budget-friendly way to spoil your mum? Share it with us in the comments!

xx Julia
