Winter means new boots

Tuesday, 30 June 2015

When winter eventually rolled around here in Sydney, I found myself in an odd predicament: I didn't own any waterproof, flat, winter shoes that I could wear to uni and around the city. This started a search like nothing else to find just the right new winter boot to add to my shoe wardrobe.

Pedi Pamper

Thursday, 25 June 2015

While the weather may be getting warmer and I'm not looking to display my tootsies in sandals any time soon, I still like to treat my feet to some pampering on a slow afternoon or during the evening time. Especially as my skin dries out in the cold, it's important to keep your feet moisturised to keep them smooth and hydrated.

Weekly Makeup Basket | two

Tuesday, 23 June 2015

I'm still working my way through my collection, rotating on a weekly (though sometimes monthly) basis to make sure all of my products receive some regular love. I've switched out my weekly makeup basket again recently and thought I would share the products I'm reaching for at the moment.

What I love about winter

Sunday, 21 June 2015

Winter is my absolute favourite time of year as the weather turns colder and we all start bundling up in knits and scarves. I'm definitely a cold weather person as I can't stand the summer heat!

Updated Makeup & Skincare Inventory | Video

Sunday, 14 June 2015

As you can probably tell, I've really been re-evaluating my relationship with my makeup and beauty collection over the last few months. I undertook and succeeded on a 100 day beauty spending ban which I've now extended to a 6 month ban. And I also decided to try my hand at a Project Pan. In order to completely come to terms with my beauty collection, I took a makeup and skincare inventory.

Review & Discussion | IT by Alexa Chung

Thursday, 11 June 2015

Alexa Chung published her first book, It,  in 2013 to wide and disparaging criticism from almost every angle. A collection of photos and thoughts from Chung's life, many readers deemed the content fluffy, worthless, and self-indulgent from a woman 'famous for being famous'. I picked up the book a few weeks ago and thought I'd throw my own two cents into the mix.

Creating a Relaxing Environment

Tuesday, 9 June 2015

If, like me, you're currently studying at university then you're either smack in the middle of or in the lead-up to the exam period. Struggling to find time and space to study is a familiar experience for me so I've accumulated a few tips on how to create a calming environment. You could use these for study sessions or just for taking a bit of time to relax amongst the havoc of modern existence.

Project Pan | Introduction | Video

Sunday, 7 June 2015

I just finished my 100 day beauty spending ban and have decided to extend it for a total of 6 months. That means that between now and August 18th, I won't be purchasing any beauty products that I haven't completely run out of.

My 6 Month Beauty Spending Ban | Introduction

Thursday, 4 June 2015

On May 28th I successfully completed my 100 beauty spending ban but, apparently, now I'm hooked. It's an addictive attitude to get into once you start using up your beauty products and get out of mindset of buying for the sake of buying. I've decided to extend my spending ban to 6 months to see to what degree I'm capable of breaking the beauty buying cycle.

My 100 Day Beauty Spending Ban | Finale

Tuesday, 2 June 2015

Back in February I decided to take a rather radical approach to my beauty spending and undertake a 100 day beauty spending ban. I wanted to address the pressure and urge that I often felt, being a part of the online beauty community, to be constantly purchasing the newest and most exciting releases instead of using up and appreciating the products I already had. Now that my 100 days is up, here's what I've learnt from the experience.
