Five Minute Face

Thursday, 5 February 2015

We've all had that morning: we woke up a bit late and have completely run out of time to put on your full face of makeup. I know I've certainly had to master the five minute face over the last few years of late nights and far too early mornings. We're looking for easy products that you can apply without tools and make you look put together in a few steps.

For the base, there's nothing better than a tinted moisturiser or BB cream that you can apply and blend easily with your fingers. They even your skin tone and provide a light coverage leaving you fresh faced and ready. I recommend the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser for it's skin-like finish and huge range of colours. To add a bit of colour to your cheeks, I like using a cream blush, which you can also apply with your fingers. The Stila Convertible Colours are easy to blend and give a light natural flush.

Moving to eyes, no one has time to fill in the brows when you're basically already out the door. The Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara adds a bit of colour and definition to the brows while also setting them in place all day. You probably didn't get much sleep if you're running this late, so nude liner is a complete must to brighten and widen your eyes. With the Rimmel Scandal'Eyes Kohl Kajal Liner in Nude lasts all day and will make it look like you got at least 8 hours. Mascara is my absolute essential in my makeup collection so we couldn't leave that out.

Because the rest of your face is neat and simple, keep your lips that same. I recommend a tinted balm like the Maybelline Colour Whispers. If you want something with more shine, I love the L'Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire for adding shine and colour without much stickiness or complication.

What products do you reach for for your five minute face?

xx Julia
