New Year's Resolutions | Dropping a Bad Habit

It's January and your Facebook feed is plastered with posts summarising new year = new you. The new year is a time for reinvention and change in your life and your choices. This can mean cutting your hair, quitting your job, or something as small as dropping a bad habit. We all have them and they take up our time and energy in negative ways. Here are my top tips for getting rid of them once and for all.

1. Define the terms of your bad habit
2. Determine the cause and circumstances surrounding your bad habit and eliminate them
3. Get others on board to help police your bad habit
4. Keep track of your progress
5. Find a better, healthier habit to replace it
6. Maintain consistency for 21 days to instil the new habit for the future.

Imagine how freer and happier you'll feel once you've let go of this bad habit. Hopefully these tips will help get you to that place more easily. Good luck!
